Operational Workflow

How We Host Shifts on OpenOMSI

Our shift system is flexible and dynamic. Instead of locked-in static schedules on one single map, we host virtual shifts across various OMSI 2 maps using OpenOMSI multiplayer.

01 Step One

Shift Announcement

Shifts are announced in our Discord server specifying the OMSI 2 map, designated OpenOMSI server room, and suggested bus fleet.

  • Discord Event Alerts
  • Map & Repaint Download Links
02 Step Two

Connect via OpenOMSI

Drivers launch OpenOMSI, connect to the active server IP/session, spawn at the depot, and select an official Arriva livery.

  • Synchronised Bus Multiplayer
  • Real-time Traffic & Passengers
03 Step Three

Duty & Route Run

Drivers pick their assigned line and timetable duty sheet. Dispatchers coordinate spacing on radio voice channels to avoid bus bunching.

  • Live Voice Dispatch
  • Authentic Timetable Runs
04 Step Four

Shift Logging

After concluding runs at the depot, drivers log their completed routes and mileage in Discord (and soon via our custom Driver Portal!).

  • Mileage & XP Tracking
  • Driver Rank Advancement
